Pax joins Megger Group to expand transformer test product line
Megger Group today announces that it is to acquire Pax Diagnostics of Sweden. Pax transformer testing and insulation diagnostics products will be a strong addition to the Megger range of test instruments for the power industry.
MFT1553 On-site helps more electricians with the 17th Edition certification
Contractors using the Bluetooth® MFT1553 which downloads test results direct to 17th Edition certificates running in PowerSuite On-site on their laptop, PDA or smart-phone are saving hours making out certificates at the end of the day.
Enhanced testing safety, even in demanding applications, is offered by the latest versions of the MIT and S1, 5 kV and 10 kV Megger insulation testers. All models now meet the requirements for use in CAT IV 600 V applications, in line with IEC 61010-1.
Improved convenience and versatility are among the key benefits of the latest range of digital earth resistance testers from Megger, which has now been extended to include a new model powered from rechargeable batteries and versions with variable test frequency.
Megger is pleased to introduce a new series of three-phase Transformer Turns Ratio test sets. The new TTR300 series consists of four models, each with its own unique, state-of-the-art communications and data analysis tools.
Find power cable faults quickly with the new Megger PFL range
To aid rapid, accurate location of cable faults in power systems, cutting downtime and, in distribution installations, costly ‘consumer minutes lost’, Megger has introduced two NEW Power Fault Locators — PFL20M and PFL40A.
Both instruments feature a state-of-the-art MTDR that has the capability to be used as both a TDR and a transient analyser.
The new 17th Edition of the wiring regulations is due to be implemented on the 1st June 2008. There are a significant number of changes, additions and deletions, both big and small. By ensuring the manufacturer states the instrument meets this standard and you cannot go far wrong. And of course Megger testers all meet the requirements of the 17th Edition.
